Join us on Saturday, November 10th at 2pm with a special guest, Tom Weston for a hip opening workshop! We’ll spend two hours working through opening asanas while cultivating stability and freedom through the hips.
A bit about Tom:
Tom Weston is a yoga teacher living in Inwood. His introduction to yoga was through intensive engagement with the Bhagavadgita, first as an undergraduate at Harvard in 1985 with Diana Eck, and later in 1996 with Patricia Walden in Cambridge, MA. There he discovered Hatha Yoga in the Iyengar tradition while completing intensive sadhana and certification in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan with the director of teacher training, Gurucharan Singh Khalsa at MIT. After years exploring various mind/body modalities, triathlon, marathon training, and undergoing several major surgeries, Tom resumed practicing multiple styles of Hatha yoga in 2003 to help heal his injuries while becoming certified as a NASM personal trainer, specializing in corrective exercise. In April 2009, Tom completed his Level I Anusara Teacher Training.
