Hanuman Kids and Teens (Ages 6 – 15) is a monthly functional fitness program designed for children and teens to:
Learn new skills
Improve coordination, balance and overall movement capacity
Develop confidence and self esteem
All of this in a positive fun atmosphere!!!
Movements like running, balancing, jumping, crawling and climbing, which children naturally do during play time, not only strengthen muscles from head to toe, but, in fact, also help the brain solidify many neural connections needed for learning. This is why children need movement...it literally makes their brain grow!!
The Hanuman Kids program can be used as a stand alone fitness class for children or as an athletic development tool for team or individual sports which kids may also be involved in. Our class is also structured to provide a great way to develop self-confidence, assertiveness, and a positive attitude toward challenges.
The Hanuman Kids program will commence in September 2018. Sessions are 60 minutes and will consist of learning the following:
New movement skills
The goal is to develop all around physical abilities and instill a life long love of movement in your child and the program will run continuously through the semester
Outdoor Park Workouts
The best thing about our exercise program is that we utilize indoor gym sessions that transfer directly to outdoor real life activities
Each month we will host regular outdoor park classes at Inwood Hill Park and encourage participants to use their imagination and what they have learned over the previous 4 weeks to build their own workout using the outdoor environment!! How fun is that??
Program runs continuously in 4-week increments throughout the year.
Fall Season starts September 4th
Ages 6-11: 4-5:00pm, Fridays, 3-4:00pm Saturdays
These classes will be geared toward developmental growth. Each class provides a safe, supportive environment to enable kids to do what they do naturally: play, socialize, and learn. In the process, they develop physically and mentally, increasing balance, bone density, and coordination. This is a great age to start creating a lifelong habit of exercise. Max Number: 12 per class.
Ages 12-15:Tuesdays 5:00-6:00pm, Fridays 5:30-6:30pm, 4:30-5:30pm Saturdays
This program develops good motor patterns and physical skills in a fun, social environment. The kids program can help children develop for sport, making them more well-rounded and coordinated, or provide an alternative to traditional team sports for those less-inclined to find enjoyment in the traditional team structure. The kids program will also improve and develop self-confidence, assertiveness, and a positive attitude toward challenges. Max Number: 12 per class.
